How do I get into the back room?

  • 1 of 32: The door to the back room (the office) is locked; but something seems to be going on in there.
  • 2 of 32: Maybe you should take a look.
  • 3 of 32: Check around the doorway.
  • 4 of 32: Down the right side, there is a crack big enough to look through.
  • 5 of 32: It looks as though one of our German friends is rifling through the office cabinets.
  • 6 of 32: If only you could get a better look.
  • 7 of 32: But he is no longer directly in your line of sight.
  • 8 of 32: Perhaps you could change that line of sight a little.
  • 9 of 32: Look around the storage warehouse for something you might be able to use.
  • 10 of 32: Particularly in a bucket on the floor.
  • 11 of 32: Use the mirror shard on the hole in the wall to get a better view of what is going on.
  • 12 of 32: The door is still locked, but it appears that the key is still in the lock -- from the other side.
  • 13 of 32: Can you think of a way to retrieve the key?
  • 14 of 32: It can't come through the door...
  • 15 of 32: ...so it will have to come from the other side.
  • 16 of 32: Perhaps if you could just poke it out of the lock from your side...
  • 17 of 32: ...but then you'd need a way to retrieve the key, after it drops from the lock.
  • 18 of 32: How could you "catch" the key, and bring it back to your side of the door?
  • 19 of 32: Maybe you could slide something under the door.
  • 20 of 32: It would have to be pretty thin -- such as a sheet of paper.
  • 21 of 32: Look thorough your wallet.
  • 22 of 32: Take the brochure on the Wonder of the Nile cruise ship.
  • 23 of 32: You'll need to slip it beneath the door.
  • 24 of 32: But make sure that it's far enough under the door to catch a falling key.
  • 25 of 32: Click on brochure after it's on the floor to slide it under the door far enough.
  • 26 of 32: Now you need to push the key out the other side of the lock, so it will land on the brochure.
  • 27 of 32: What do you have in your inventory that might work?
  • 28 of 32: Try the wire.
  • 29 of 32: If you haven't found the wire yet, look on the floor behind the barrel over by the window.
  • 30 of 32: Push the wire into the door lock, and the key will drop out.
  • 31 of 32: Now retrieve the brochure -- and you have the key to the door!
  • 32 of 32: Use the key to unlock the door.  (For some reason, you need to apply the key to the door, not to the lock itself.)
