The Cameron Files: Pharaoh's Curse Hints
I'm lost in a maze of misty passages.
1 of 31: Aha! It looks like we're going to need some help to get through this fog.
2 of 31: It is highly advisable to save your game before entering this section of the game.
3 of 31: Since the only thing we can see is the numbers on the inside of the goggles, they must provide some information for us.
4 of 31: It appears that the numbers represent the 360 degrees of a circle.
5 of 31: Maybe there is some information that we have which might provide a clue to what we need to do.
6 of 31: Do you have anything that might contain numbers in the range of 1-360?
7 of 31: Perhaps they are not represented by numbers directly, but are in some sort of code.
8 of 31: Look in your wallet for the parchment that you retrieved from the curator's office.
9 of 31: The parchment is the one that contains several rows of symbols, with each line ending with some number of what appear to be men walking with walking sticks.
10 of 31: Can you make anything out of that parchment?
11 of 31: Perhaps a translation is in order. Look in the Toumchetki Believers Book.
12 of 31: Can you find any of the symbols from the parchment within the Believer's Book?
13 of 31: Near the end of the book, there are four symbols that are linked to numbers: 1, 2, 10, and 100.
14 of 31: Some of those symbols are on the parchment.
15 of 31: But the parchment also contains symbols (the men with the walking sticks) that are not included in the Believers Book.
16 of 31: Look closely at the parchments, and you will see that each line has a gap between the beginning symbols and the men with the walking sticks.
17 of 31: Those beginning symbols can all be translated, using the Believers Book.
18 of 31: Perhaps those translated numbers could help us.
19 of 31: Given the four numbers, how could they apply to our current situation?
20 of 31: The numbers represent compass directions on the readout of the goggles.
21 of 31: They will help direct you through the fog, and safely out the other side.
22 of 31: But there is more information that you will need to safely navigate the mist.
23 of 31: That information is stored in the remainder of the parchment lines -- the men with the walking sticks.
24 of 31: Each man represents a step.
25 of 31: Therefore, at each compass direction, take the indicated number of steps (shown by the number of walking men).
26 of 31: The complete solution is in the following clues.
27 of 31: Upon entering the mist and putting on the goggles, first turn to a heading of 120 degrees, and then take six steps. (You will need to reset the compass heading after each click.)
28 of 31: If you did that correctly, you should have gotten a visual clue after the sixth step.
29 of 31: Now set yourself on a heading of 130 degrees, and take three steps in that direction (again, resetting the heading after each step). Another visual clue should occur.
30 of 31: In like manner, take 5 steps at a heading of 220 degrees.
31 of 31: Finally, take 2 steps at a heading of 270 degrees. You should now be out of the fog.
