What do I do with the Ankh chest?

  • 1 of 27: The chest is located in the Curator's office.
  • 2 of 27: The top was opened with the ankh already -- but there is more to do.
  • 3 of 27: You'll need to bring two items to use on the chest...
  • 4 of 27: ...two very important items...
  • 5 of 27: ...at least they were very important to Moira.
  • 6 of 27: You'll need to use the two statues.
  • 7 of 27: Place the two statues on the two indentations inside the Ankh chest.
  • 8 of 27: This will unlock a hidden drawer (click on the front of the box to open the drawer).
  • 9 of 27: The drawer contains all the items needed to put together a simple item.
  • 10 of 27: The item you need to construct is a balance scale.
  • 11 of 27: The game makes it very simple to do.
  • 12 of 27: Simply click on the items (it doesn't matter which item you click on, as the game will only allow you to interact with the one you need).
  • 13 of 27: Then, click again on the box to put the item in its proper place.
  • 14 of 27: Continue clicking on the items and placing them until you have a completed balance beam.
  • 15 of 27: When you have finished constructing the balance, there is only one thing left to do with it.
  • 16 of 27: Look at the entire box and balance for a moment.
  • 17 of 27: The placement of the statues is symbolic.
  • 18 of 27: There is a statue placed behind each side of the balance.
  • 19 of 27: One of the statues represents Isfet and one represent Maat.
  • 20 of 27: The balance starts out uneven.
  • 21 of 27: Notice that the Isfet side is heavier.
  • 22 of 27: You'll need to do something to make the Maat side heavier.
  • 23 of 27: Can you think of anything else that is related to Maat?
  • 24 of 27: Have you read anything in your inventory that is related to Maat?...
  • 25 of 27: ...or the "Essence of Maat"?
  • 26 of 27: Use the Essence of Maat on the scale.
  • 27 of 27: The formula in the blue bottle, when placed on the scale, will open another hidden drawer.
