How do I open the safe once I've found it?
1 of 21: Don't bother trying to find the combination, since it isn't written down anywhere.
2 of 21: If you want to figure out the combination, you'll need a bit of assistance.
3 of 21: It might help if you could hear the mechanism better...
4 of 21: ...especially the parts inside the safe...
5 of 21: ...perhaps you might even be able to hear a difference between dialing onto a correct number and an incorrect one.
6 of 21: Do you have anything in your inventory that might help amplify sounds?
8 of 21: While in a close-up view of the safe, place the stethoscope on the safe.
9 of 21: It's possible to turn the dial clockwise, or counter-clockwise, depending on which side of the dial you place the cursor (the right side, for clockwise; the left side for counter-clockwise).
10 of 21: If you make a mistake, reset the puzzle by pressing the button in the center of the dial.
11 of 21: The button in the center has a second use.
12 of 21: You can use the button to open the safe, once the correct combination has been entered.
13 of 21: You'll need to turn the dial clockwise, first (the cursor should be on the right side of the dial).
14 of 21: Listen carefully, as you turn the dial -- you should hear a difference between an incorrect number, and a correct one. The correct number is a lower-sounding clunk.
15 of 21: There are four numbers in the combination. There does not seem to be an audible clue (when using the stethoscope) to tell you when the safe is ready to open, so just remember that anytime after the first four numbers are entered, the safe can be opened.
16 of 21: Okay, let's see if we can determine the first number. Make sure the safe has been reset (press the button in the center of the dial). Now turn the dial clockwise slowly...
17 of 21: ...two times. Did you hear the difference between the first number (10) and the second number (20)?
18 of 21: 20 is the first number in the combination. The next step is to turn the dial slowly counter-clockwise (put cursor on the left side of the dial) ...
19 of 21: ...just once, and stop on 10. Next, turn the dial clockwise...
20 of 21: ...four times, and stop on 50. Lastly, turn the dial counter-clockwise...
21 of 21: ...three times, and stop on 20. Click the button in the center to open the safe. Make sure to take all the items from the safe.
