Adventure at the Chateau d'Or Hints

What am I supposed to do with the artist's canvas?

  • 1 of 17: An artist's canvas is usually used for painting.
  • 2 of 17: Look around for something that might apply.
  • 3 of 17: There is a carton of spray cans near the easel.
  • 4 of 17: See what happens when you use the spray cans on the canvas.  Each spray may only be used once.  If you've used them all up and still haven't solved the puzzle, just leave the room and re-enter to reset the puzzle.
  • 5 of 17: Be sure and note which cans generate which pictures.
  • 6 of 17: Note also the brushes on the table to the left of the easel.
  • 7 of 17: See what happens when you use any of the brushes.
  • 8 of 17: Make note of which brush generates which symbol.
  • 9 of 17: You'll need to match the pictures from the spray cans, with the images from the brushes.
  • 10 of 17: You'll need to solve the mirror puzzle to help you figure out the solution.
  • 11 of 17: Study the image displayed on the mirror, after the mirror puzzle is solved.
  • 12 of 17: The image in the mirror shows four sets of pictures and symbols.
  • 13 of 17: Use the image in the mirror to help figure out which of the four pictures painted by the spray cans matches each of the four symbols painted by the brushes.  (You'll know when you've correctly matched the paintings and symbols, when the symbol gets painted in one of the corners on the canvas.)
  • 14 of 17: Now that the four paintings are matched with the four symbols from the mirror, there is one more thing to do before moving away from the canvas.
  • 15 of 17: Find the spray can which paints the picture of a black globe.
  • 16 of 17: Use the spray can from the lower right corner of the box.
  • 17 of 17: Spray the canvas, then use a brush to paint a symbol on it.  It doesn't matter which brush, any one will do.  If you've solved the puzzle correctly, you'll receive a spray can.
