2 of 6: He must have a reason to leave his post too.
3 of 6: Convince him he is needed in battle.
4 of 6: To get him to move, you will need to look like a military officer plus put a flag on that empty flagpole over there.
5 of 6: Find a suit of armour and decorate it with some general's bars.
