Cleopatra: A Queen's Destiny Hints
How do I make the catapult shoot further?
of 13: Well, we've got two solutions. The first is making our projectile lighter. However, if we do that, there's no way it'll break the wall. So let's try the other option. Think about how the catapult works.
of 13: The counterweight is what "drives" the arm. If we could somehow make it heavier, the arm will pick up more speed, causing our projectile to fly further.
of 13: Notice that stack of sandbags sitting next to the counterweight? We could just use them.
of 13: Yeah right, you didn't think it'd be that easy, did you? Even with those three bags, the ball doesn't fly far enough. If only we had more sandbags...
of 13: Maybe we can make some, since Thomas should be quite the craftsman by now. Sand we've got plenty off, but where are we going to find bags?
of 13: Did you find anything else near the ship when you were searching for tools to make a new peg?
of 13: The other chest contains sailcloth.
of 13: If we could cut that into pieces, we might be able to make bags from it. Fortunately, the cutting tool was included in the chest.
of 13: This piece of sail is a bit too large still, so let's cut it into bag sized pieces.
of 13: Of course the bags are not going to hold much sand like this. We'll need to seal the sides so the sand stays inside.
of 13: Fortunately we've got a needle and a reel of thread, so let's see how Thomas manages stitching.
of 13: Not bad at all. Now you'll have to find something to put in the bags.
of 13: Fortunately, we're on a beach and there's sand everywhere. Just find a suitable pile and fill up your bags before loading them in the catapult.
