Conspiracies Hints
I managed to hide from the thugs, but I lost the game anyway!
of 24: That's because they got away with Tony, and you need to follow them and rescue him.
of 24: But how can you follow them? There's no way Nick can stow away on their hovercar. Also, one of them mentions returning to Chemtron, and you won't have that on your travel map yet.
of 24: The reason you get the ever-annoying "GAME OVER, YOU LOSE!!!" screen even if you get away is that the game doesn't want you to be able to play on without being able to eventually win. That's really very considerate of it, you know. Otherwise, you could waste countless hours and get hopelessly stuck later on without knowing why or where you messed up.
of 24: Have you come across any items anywhere that could be used to track a moving vehicle from a distance?
of 24: How about a GPS (Global Positioning System) setup?
of 24: In order to track the thugs' hovercar, you need to have a GPS transmitter that you can fasten to their car and a GPS receiver that you can use to track their signal.
of 24: Go get the GPS Receiver and GPS Transmitter from the Ermis Travel Agency area if you don't have them already.
of 24: Now the only remaining problem is how to fasten the GPS transmitter to the hovercar.
of 24: Forget about trying to run toward the car when you escape their vile clutches -- they'll see you and shoot you every time.
of 24: Instead, you need a way to hastily stick the transmitter to the car after they've boarded it and before they fly away. That's going to be tough, since Nick's too busy hiding to get close enough to the car to put the transmitter on by hand.
of 24: Besides, what's going to make it stick to the car in any case?
of 24: You've probably picked up several sticky items in your explorations so far.
of 24: For instance, the Sellotape in Jenny's apartment building and the Nail Varnish from the nearby dressing rooms. But would either of those items make the GPS transmitter sticky enough to have a good chance of sticking to the hovercar and staying on it if Nick throws it from a distance?
of 24: The answer, of course, is no.
of 24: What you need is a great big sticky wad of ...
of 24: ... chewing gum!
of 24: You *know* that stuff sticks, and a big protective wad of it around the GPS transmitter could protect it from damage when it's thrown as well as letting it stick to the target.
of 24: If you have even one stick of gum in your inventory, Nick will try quickly chewing it, sticking the GPS transmitter in it, and throwing it at the hovercar.
of 24: But you need a lot more than one stick of gum to make the gum wad big and sticky enough.
of 24: There are six sticks of gum in the game, and you need every single one of them in order to make this work.
of 24: The three Sticks of Gum in the Bar Iphestos and the two Sticks of Gum at the Ermis Travel Agency should be easy to find.
of 24: But the last one may not be, even though it's right here in the Pallatino area.
of 24: Get the last Stick of Gum from nearby, and you'll be ready!
of 24: If you've loosened the manhole cover and you have the pepper spray, the GPS transmitter, and the six sticks of gum in your inventory, you're *finally* ready to do the meeting with Tony. (What a game, eh?)
