I found Tony, but how can I rescue him without getting killed?

  • 1 of 18: You've tried entering the room he's being kept in via the door and the various windows?
  • 2 of 18: You're going to have to find another way in -- one that involves a little distraction for the thugs, too.
  • 3 of 18: Have you explored around outside the building?
  • 4 of 18: There's an outdoor vent that leads into the room that Tony is in, but there are two problems in getting to it.
  • 5 of 18: The first problem is that the vent is in the fenced-off area behind the building.
  • 6 of 18: Once you're inside the fenced-off area, you can examine the nearby wall of the Chemtron building to see where the vent is that looks like it might give secret access to the room Tony's tied up in.
  • 7 of 18: And now the second problem comes into play. That vent is a loooong way up there!
  • 8 of 18: So you're finally up to the vent now, eh? But how are you going to get it open?
  • 9 of 18: If you click on the right side of the vent structure as you stand near it facing down, Nick will say that it's screwed shut.
  • 10 of 18: So you need a screwdriver.
  • 11 of 18: If you didn't get the Screwdriver from the space station earlier, you'll have to restore a save from before you set the bomb off and go get it.
  • 12 of 18: Click the screwdriver on the same part of the vent structure you clicked on to learn that it was screwed shut. If you click on the wrong area, Nick will drop the screwdriver and you'll have to pick it up and try again.
  • 13 of 18: Once the vent cover is loose, click on it to open it outwards.
  • 14 of 18: Now move carefully forward so that you fall onto the now-open vent cover, then turn and move toward the open vent. Nick will automatically duck and crawl inside.
  • 15 of 18: Move along the vent shaft until you come to another vent cover leading down.
  • 16 of 18: Click on it to open it, then move forward to drop down into the room with Tony.
  • 17 of 18: When you've finally reached Tony and successfully revived him, you're ready to go. Just head back into the main Chemtron building and then out to the landing pad. You'll be automatically taken back to Nick's apartment, where Anita Argiriou will visit for the purpose of thickening the plot.
  • 18 of 18: NOTE: You can use the password Anita gives you to do a little optional snooping. On a terminal, choose "Files" and enter the name "Chemtron" to search for. When it asks for a verification code, use "destro32". Check the deleted mail messages to find some interesting connections that will become significant later in the game.
