How do I unlock the door to the safe?
1 of 15: By entering the correct code on the little panel to the right of the door.
2 of 15: Notice that the panel has ten little brown buttons that you can push in.
3 of 15: Also notice that all the buttons pop back out after you push in six of them.
4 of 15: That implies that the unlocking sequence is six digits long.
5 of 15: But what could the code be?
6 of 15: This is Argiriou's house, so think back to something you found in his office at Detronics that might help here.
7 of 15: Did you open Argiriou's office safe while you were there? If not, go back there and see the following hint link.
8 of 15: Of those numbers you got from the bar code label inside the safe, the only six-digit one is the date (21-10-43).
9 of 15: But how do you enter numbers on the safe's panel? It isn't labeled.
10 of 15: So just assume that the leftmost button represents 0, the rightmost one represents 9, and the eight in between represent 1 thru 8.
11 of 15: So for 211043, you'd press the second button in the middle section for the 2, the first button in the middle section for the 1, the first button in the middle section again ... oops, that isn't going to work!
12 of 15: We were deceived! The code is really only five digits long.
13 of 15: So try 38014 and 56729.
14 of 15: You'll find that it's 38014.
15 of 15: So press the third button from the left in the middle set of buttons, the rightmost button in the middle set, etc.
