How can I get inside Jarod's safe?

  • 1 of 14: You won't have the opportunity until Jarod is distracted.
  • 2 of 14: Get him in the tub.
  • 3 of 14: The safe has a DNA lock and only alien DNA will work.
  • 4 of 14: You have seen only one other alien thus far.
  • 5 of 14: Dr. Johnson uses a tool to scan the DNA of her research subjects.
  • 6 of 14: Inside her office, get the DNA scanner from her desk drawer.  Use it on the alien in her lab.
  • 7 of 14: Use the DNA scanner on Jarod's safe.
  • 8 of 14: Since the dead alien's DNA was not complete, you must complete the chain yourself.
  • 9 of 14: Fill in the colors of the blank (gray) areas with the ones on the left.  Use a grab-drag-drop technique to insert the colors.  (Point to a color - hold down the left mouse button - move the color bar to a blank gray spot on the picture - release your mouse)  When all of the colors are inserted, click the Enter button.
  • 10 of 14: It helps to know that the two halves of the strain are identical at the top and bottom.
  • 11 of 14: Referring to the ones that are filled in, match up the halves with the missing colors.
  • 12 of 14: On the top half of the strain, insert these colors from top to bottom: Yellow, green, blue, green, red.
  • 13 of 14: Fill in the bottom colors, using the top as a model.
  • 14 of 14: The picture below shows the puzzle solved.
