Crime Stories: From the Files of Martin Mystere Hints
I'm at the temple. How do I let the guys out?
of 12: Walk up the stairs to make contact with Martin and spy out the land.
of 12: On both sides of the door there are structures overgrown with vines. You need to get rid of those vines.
of 12: This is the kind of problem Uben must have to deal with all the time. There must be something that cuts vines in his camp.
of 12: Go back down the stairs and examine the dig with the tarp over it. Aha! Just the ticket.
of 12: After you use the machete on the "climbing plants" on the right and the "structure covered in vegetation" on the left, take a look at the structures. Logic would suggest they should be more or less the same on both sides, since everything else is symmetrical, but they're not.
of 12: On the left, there's a large stone head on top of a platform that's flush with the surface. On the right, there's a platform raised above the surface and a broken stone head off to one side. You can't move the head on the left; perhaps you can move the broken head on the right?
of 12: Diana isn't strong enough to do this, which isn't too surprising. Ask Java to help.
of 12: Still not quite enough. Ask Java to help again.
of 12: After Java moves the broken head and then sits on the right platform, four buttons pop out. You clearly need to push them back in -- but in what order?
of 12: There are no clues to this and no penalty for getting it wrong, despite Martin's whining about vampire bats (which in real life are tiny creatures with a wingspan of an inch and a half -- but never mind about that right now). So if you want, you can just use a trial-and-error method to find the right order.
of 12: But if you're like me, and that drives you nuts, here's the order to follow:
of 12: Push the top right button, then the bottom left button, then the bottom right, then the top left.
