Crystal Key 2: The Far Realm Hints
How do I relate the six items to the six maps?
of 14: Each of the gifts of Merik is linked to one of the maps through the display case it is in. You will need to figure out what to do with the three buttons below each display case to discover these links.
of 14: Where else have you seen these six items (or representations of them)?
of 14: After rescuing Athera, you were both returned to a room in the Palace, where Athera continues to recover.
of 14: In that room is a clue to the buttons on the pedestals.
of 14: Look carefully around the room where Athera still rests.
of 14: Note the six shields on the walls -- three on each side of the room.
of 14: The symbols on the shields match the six gifts of Merik the Warrior.
of 14: Do you notice anything else unusual about the six shields?
of 14: There are three sections for each shield....
of 14: ...just as there are three buttons on each pedestal holding the gifts of Merik.
of 14: Pay special attention to the coloring of each shield. Note, in particular, the colors of the center portion of the shield and the colors of each segment on the right and left sides of the shields.
of 14: The coloring -- of the shields, and of the two segments to the right and left of each shield -- are different for each shield.
of 14: The three colored sections of the shields somehow relate to the "codes" for the three buttons on each of the pedestals.
of 14: You should discover that if you enter the correct code on each pedestal, the stand inside the glass will rotate, showing one of the six map sections on the floor. You now have a direct link between the gifts of Merik, and the map sections on the floor.
