Crystal Key 2: The Far Realm Hints

How do I fix the fishbot?

  • 1 of 19: If you walk out into the water, you will have easy access to the other side of the fishbot.
  • 2 of 19: The fishbot is actually in good working order -- except that it won't start.
  • 3 of 19: Perhaps you could figure out a way to jump-start the engine.
  • 4 of 19: Notice the blue Tarru eel in the water?
  • 5 of 19: Pssst -- Tarru eels are electric....
  • 6 of 19: Have you been to Dr. Jakar's yet?  The little fisherman there might offer up a clue.  (In case you don't want to travel to talk to the little fisherman, read the next hint for his clue.)
  • 7 of 19: The little fisherman tells Call that the eels are very territorial.
  • 8 of 19: If the eel in the water saw another eel, it might try to fight it off....
  • 9 of 19: There aren't any more eels around here.  But perhaps you could trick one eel into thinking another eel was encroaching on its territory...
  • 10 of 19: ...and use the electric shock from the angry eel to jump-start the fishbot engine.
  • 11 of 19: After you step into the water by the fishbot, take a look at the metal panel on the side of the fishbot.
  • 12 of 19: It's rather rusty.
  • 13 of 19: If it were shinier, it would be very much like a mirror...
  • 14 of 19: ...which might fool the eel into thinking a second eel is approaching.
  • 15 of 19: Take the panel with you, and see if you can figure out how to polish it.
  • 16 of 19: Do you remember seeing any machinery around that could do the job?
  • 17 of 19: Try back at the Nehli tree.  You can take the jetpack from the Fishbot Beach area -- look for the flashing jetpack symbol in the top right of the screen a couple of steps from the water.
  • 18 of 19: One of the parts on the machine looks like a large grindstone wheel.  Use the metal panel on the wheel to polish the panel.
  • 19 of 19: Next, bring the panel back to the fishbot and reinstall it.  Note: to re-install the panel, do not try to place the panel back where it was -- instead, place it near the center of the fishbot (the spot to use is the darkest spot on the side of the fishbot -- it looks a bit like a car door handle).  The eel will take care of the rest.
