The Crystal Key Hints
How can I solve the Push Button Puzzle?
of 11: If you haven't found the puzzle yet, look under the stairwell for a small metal door.
of 11: The solution is given inside the book near the hologram machine.
of 11: Fortunately, you don't need to be able to read the language to solve the puzzle.
of 11: The drawing on the page simply shows a picture of the puzzle as you first find it. Not the solution!
of 11: Refer to the lines of characters underneath the drawing. It is the length of those lines, and their relationship to each other, that should direct you.
of 11: There are 5 lines of characters and 5 buttons.
of 11: The lines have 3 lengths. Each button has 3 positions: Down, Middle and Up.
of 11: Correspond the buttons from left to right with the lines as written from top to bottom.
of 11: Move the buttons into their correct positions. (Grab each button at the top edge, rather than the bottom or center, to move them more easily.)
of 11: Clue: Longest=Up
of 11: From left to right, the buttons should be positioned: Up, Down, Down, Up, Middle.
