Cydonia Hints

How does the Planets Puzzle work?

  • 1 of 12: There are three wire rings with a star shape in the center of each.  These are placed on the wall around a large red center.
  • 2 of 12: The first time you click on any of the three wire rings, a graphic version of one planet appears.
  • 3 of 12: Referring to the planetary information in your Suit Computer's Mission Data, note the gray planet is Mercury.
  • 4 of 12: The first time you attempt this puzzle, leave the top ring set on Mercury. Move down to the bottom left ring.  Click on the bottom left ring once to get Mercury.  Click again and a picture of Venus appears.
  • 5 of 12: Move to the right bottom ring.  Keep clicking on it until the large red center panel opens.  Get the Metal Tooth etched with the letter C.
  • 6 of 12: Now you know that Mercury's symbol is the letter C.
  • 7 of 12: From the golden wall panels on Level 1, find the panel with the letter C at the top.  Notice the bottom left and bottom right symbols on that panel. Those bottom symbols correspond with the other two planets you selected on the bottom rings of the puzzle.
  • 8 of 12: The two planets associated with the letter C on the wall panels are Venus (bottom left) and Pluto (bottom right).
  • 9 of 12: Now that you have three planets and their symbols, you can fill in some of the blanks for the others.
  • 10 of 12: Repeat the actions until you have gained all nine symbols in your inventory.
  • 11 of 12: To help, here is a drawing of the Alien Planetary Symbols.
  • 12 of 12: The actual solution is in the next hint.  You will still need to know what each planet looks like.
