Thermal Detonators
Yes, they are just like the Thermal Detonators Leia used to threaten Jabba the Hutt in Return of the Jedi! You can throw this weapon like a grenade -- the longer you hold down the button, the farther the Detonators flies -- or by rolling it on the ground (press Z).
They're very useful for hitting enemies on a lower level than you, or in open areas. If you're in an area with low ceilings, don't bother with this weapon. You'll only get hurt by the blasts. Ree-Yees carry these around.
