Deus Ex: Human Revolution Hints

How can I get into the Data Core area?

  • 1 of 10: As the guard at the entrance will tell you, there's no way you'll be getting in legitimately.
  • 2 of 10: Turn right and go down some stairs to come to a large doorway that's guarded by a laser grid.
  • 3 of 10: Move up close to the left end of the grid without touching it, then crouch down and wait for one of the two nearby guards to go through it and up the stairs.
  • 4 of 10: Hit the other guard with a takedown move as soon as he turns around, then immediately start crouch-running down the walkway.
  • 5 of 10: After it turns left, go up to a large doorway and enter cover mode just to the left of it. (NOTE: There may be a guard standing near the doorway as you turn the corner. If so, wait back out of sight for him to walk through the doorway before going up to its left side.)
  • 6 of 10: Wait for a guard to come out through the doorway and start down the walkway, then go after him and hit him with a takedown move.
  • 7 of 10: Immediately go back to the doorway and enter cover mode to the right of it, since another guard will be approaching. (If he isn't, wait until he is.)
  • 8 of 10: After he exits the doorway and stops, take him down and loot him to get a pocket secretary with the code to the Data Core area's back door.
  • 9 of 10: Go through the doorway and up some stairs, then turn right to find the back door.
  • 10 of 10: Enter the code 0703 into the door's security gadget, then go through the door.
