Deus Ex: Human Revolution Hints
How can I sneak into the building that's across the yard?
1 of 13: Right after you go outside, turn left and jump over the railing.
2 of 13: Get behind the large red shipping container, then go along it, turn right, and move along the next shipping container in cover mode.
3 of 13: When you reach its end, cover-jump to the barrier arm mechanism that's to the left, then cover-jump to some crates when it looks clear.
4 of 13: Make sure the nearby patrolling guard's back is to you, then cover-jump over to another barrier arm mechanism.
5 of 13: Edge over to the left end of the truck so you can see the guard who patrols near it, then wait for him to start walking away from you.
6 of 13: Pick up the nearby movable crate and carry it carefully over to where you can drop it next to a much taller crate.
7 of 13: Wait if necessary for the nearby guard to move away from you again, then jump onto the smaller crate, and then onto the taller crate.
8 of 13: Hop onto the board walkway, then go over to the large wooden crate and stand up just long enough to grab the credit chip and Typhoon ammo that are in it. (Quicksave first in case you're seen.)
9 of 13: Crouch-walk to the end of the boardwalk's railing, then go into cover mode next to it so you can peek around it and see if there's a guard in the area to the right. If so, wait until he wanders off, then quicksave again before trying the following tricky maneuver.
10 of 13: Walk down the planks at the end of the boardwalk to get onto a crate, then stand up and take a running jump toward the nearby large shipping containers. You need to get on top of them, then take a running jump over the fence that's just past them.
11 of 13: The fence has a locked gate with a security gadget to the left of it, so you may want to sneak over and hack it instead of doing the jumps.
12 of 13: If you made it past the fence undetected, quicksave, then make room in your inventory (if necessary) so you can pick up the shotgun that's on the wooden pallet stack. That's not really essential to do, but it might come in handy later on.
13 of 13: Climb up the ladder and crouch-walk along the balcony to reach a door that leads into the building.
