Deus Ex: Human Revolution Hints
How can I rescue the hostages?
1 of 10: Crouch-walk into the area and over to the right end of the nearby railing.
2 of 10: Jump over the railing, then turn right and move a crate out of the way to find a vent cover that you can open.
3 of 10: Follow the vent shaft along until you exit to a vertical shaft with a ladder.
4 of 10: Climb the ladder, then use the next vent shaft to get onto a large beam.
5 of 10: Go straight across the beam to reach yet another vent shaft, then follow it along to end up in the room with the hostages.
6 of 10: Don't go near either of the room's doorways yet. You'll need to first deactivate the bomb that's on the desk near where you exited the vent shaft.
7 of 10: Go around to the front of the bomb so you can use its black security code entry thing, then choose to hack it.
8 of 10: This hacking minigame is going to be a bit more difficult than the last one. There are several more nodes to navigate, and you'll have to move fast to keep ahead of the diagnostic sub-routine's red line.
9 of 10: Starting at your I/O port, and using compass directions for a node capture sequence, go SW, SE, NE, and SE.
10 of 10: Once you succeed at that, the hostages will be counted as rescued.
