Deus Ex: Human Revolution Hints
A Note About the Hints
This game is very much like the Splinter Cell games in that you can choose to sneak through enemy-filled areas unseen, you can choose to openly shoot everyone down, or you can combine the two for a more "balanced" gameplay. Unlike Splinter Cell, this game doesn't give you a zero-to-one-hundred rating at the end of each mission, so killing a bunch of guys is perfectly okay, as long as you survive it -- you can't fail a mission by killing too many people. However, it can be tough to fight your way through an area without getting killed if you don't use at least some stealth.
The hints I give for getting through enemy-occupied areas are all "baseline stealth" hints, meaning they'll guide you through the areas on specific stealthy paths that'll keep you from being seen or attacked at all. They usually won't require you to have any particular equipment or augmentations, so everyone should be able to use them as a baseline no matter how they build their character -- a baseline from which they can deviate and then return to whenever they want. See the Stealth Tips for more details.
