Deus Ex: Human Revolution Hints

Disrupt the gas dispersal.

  • 1 of 8: Now you're going to have to get down to the bottom floor of the detention camp while avoiding several alert soldiers. At least the robots and laser grids on the second floor are turned off.
  • 2 of 8: When you make it to the bottom floor, jump over the railing that's across from the bottom of the stairs.
  • 3 of 8: Turn left and go over to the short higher-floor bridge, then hop onto it and drop down on its other side.
  • 4 of 8: Go through the building materials to find a vent cover that you can open. If you can't make it into the vent shaft without being seen, quickrestore and try again with slightly different timing, or by going right instead of left after jumping over the railing.
  • 5 of 8: Go along the vent shaft until it splits, then turn right. At the end of the shaft, jump into the gas dispersal control room to get the "Secondary: Save Doctor Kavanagh" and "Secondary: Save the prisoners" objectives.
  • 6 of 8: Use the large gas flow control panel in front of you, then choose which area to send all the gas to: the prisoners' cells or the lab where your informant is.
  • 7 of 8: Either way will get you the next objective, though note that you get more XP for gassing the lab.
  • 8 of 8: Or if you have the "Jump Augmentation" leg upgrade, there is a way you can save everyone, though it's quite a bit of trouble.
