Diablo and Hellfire Hints
The Hive & Defiler*
The Hive is one of the new quests added for Hellfire. To gain access to the Hive, you need to talk to the farmer near the cows, just east of the graveyard. He will give you the Rune Bomb, which you drop on the Hive to open an entrance to the Nest. The Nest is a fairly tough set of levels -- I would guess that you will need to be at about level 15 to do well in there.
As you go down through the Nest, you will meet two special monsters. On level three, you will find the Hork Demon. Try to fight him alone, as he is quite durable and fighting him with several other monsters chewing on you is quite painful.
On level four, you will finally get to fight The Defiler. Search carefully after you kill him, since the passport to one of the final quests should be scattered nearby.
