General Item Tips
One good thing for a Bowazon to have is some health-draining magic item. This is helpful in two ways, the first being the obvious fact that adding health while fighting is a good idea. But you can also use the red flash of health being added to make your bow and arrow into a kind of enemy radar. Fire a few shots down that corridor, and if you see you are getting health, you know that there is trouble ahead. You can keep firing this way, even without seeing the enemy, until you stop getting the flash. You may find you have cleaned out the area without seeing a living monster.
Boots with a high speed rating are essential for the Bowazon. Once you have a pair, don't give them up, even if you find higher level boots with no speed bonus. I always like to have three quivers of arrows when I leave town, one in hand, and two in the backpack.
The Javazon does not need the boost of speed as much. If you get good magic boots with a good armor rating, you should probably wear them instead.
