Skills: Combat Masteries
The combat masteries are a family of skills. There are six kinds of weapons mastery, each with twenty levels that you can learn. Obviously, finding 120 skill points would be a challenge, so it is essential to focus on mastering the weapons that you like to use the most often. Four other skills appear on this page as well.
Increased Speed -- This skill boosts your running speed. This is very good for use with Whirlwind.
Increased Stamina -- This skill is good if you find yourself running out of stamina potions. Your style of play will determine if this skill is worthwhile to your character or not.
Iron Skin -- This skill allows you to multiply your armor rating by a factor, no matter how high that rating is. So, this skill becomes more valuable as you get better armor.
The Masteries -- These skills all work in the same way, but each mastery applies only to its own attack type. If you specialize in one weapon type, plan to put many points into its mastery.
Natural Resistance -- This skill will lessen the damage from any magical attack. It is a high-level skill, but you can get a significant resistance with a few skill points.
