Diablo II Hints
Offensive Auras
Blessed Aim -- This aura increases your chance to hit. I have found this to be a not-very-useful aura. Don't worry about it.
Concentration -- Your attacks are harder to interrupt. I find that if you are using Zeal, there's a very small chance you will be interrupted anyway, so this is a skill of little concern.
Conviction -- This skill reduces the defense and resistances of all enemies. This overall is not that great a skill. Don't waste your skill points on it.
Fanaticism -- This aura increases the spread of attack for your party. Once again, if you use Zeal, this is a pretty useless skill.
Holy Fire -- This aura does fire damage at measured intervals to all within range that are not allies. This is an interesting one, but if you like this one, hold off -- there is a better version coming up.
Holy Freeze -- This aura does cold damage and slows the enemies in its radius. This is in my opinion the best "holy" aura. Its ability to slow enemies will give a edge in battles, even when you're greatly outnumbered.
Holy Shock -- This aura periodically hits enemies with lightning damage. This is the highest level "holy" skill but in my opinion, it's not as good as Holy Freeze.
Might -- This aura simply increases the damage done by you and your allies. This is a simple aura, and I never found it to be very useful.
Sanctuary -- This aura hurts and knocks back undead in the radius. This is a great aura -- if you stand still, it is possible to keep the undead from ever reaching you.
Thorns -- Enemies take damage from all physical non-ranged, non-magical attacks they successfully complete against you and your allies. This is the most useful offensive aura there is -- pump points into this like there is no tomorrow.
