Diablo II Hints
Fire Spells
Blaze -- As the sorceress walks, a trail of fire is left behind. This is an interesting skill, and while it's not very useful for combat, if you pop a point into it, you can use it when you have to make a break for it.
Enchant -- This spell adds a temporary fire damage to a weapon. Much like Inferno, this skill is only useful to sorceresses who like to jump into the fray. If you're one of those, this is worth the points. If not, then don't worry about this.
Fire Ball -- This spell creates a ball of fire that explodes on impact. While this is a good skill, there are skills in the other spell groups more deserving of the skill points.
Fire Bolt -- This spell casts a small bolt of fire. This is the most basic of the fire spells. I have found that even as you advance it in level, the damage is not ever that great -- there are other things to spend skill points on.
Fire Mastery -- Your fire spells hurt more. This is a good one to pump up if you like using fire spells, especially the mighty Meteor.
Fire Wall -- This spell creates a wall of flame. This is useful if you have a large group of slow-moving enemies coming down a hallway at you, but other than that, it's not that great.
Hydra -- This spell creates a multi-headed beast that shoots out powerful fire bolts. This is similar to the Guardian spell of the first game. This is the highest Flame Spell there is. It is worth a couple of points -- it will really help you out in a pinch.
Inferno -- This spell shoots out flames in a flame-thrower-esque attack. This is good for sorceresses who prefer to jump into the fray instead of dropping enemies from a distance.
Meteor -- This spell calls down a meteor that explodes and leaves behind an area of flames. This is the greatest flame skill. This will take down huge groups of enemies like they are nothing. Pump this one as high as you dare -- it really gets unstoppable at level ten.
Warmth -- This spell increases your rate of mana recovery. This is a very very useful skill to learn. Mana is more important than life itself to a sorceress, so this is all the more important. Pump this thing up to around 5 at least.
