Diablo II Hints
Skills: Elemental
The Elemental skills are arranged in two main paths, geologic fire and wind. You need to master both paths if you want to get to Armegeddon.
Firestorm -- This elemental power puts real firepower in your hands. It is a low level skill, but it can be ramped up to be pretty impressive.
Molten Boulder -- This elemental power is great to watch. A big ball of molten rock pushes your enemies back away from you. If it hits something solid, it explodes into a shower of firey rock fragments. A very nice spell to help keep danger at arms length.
Fissure -- With fissure, you open up vents to the earth's core. A lot of heat comes out, and it is suprising how much damage even the first level can cause. This spell can be used at a distance.
Volcano -- This elemental spell allows magma to bubble up from the earth's core and shoot out in firey balls in all directions. You can target this spell to go off directly under a bad monster, and he will take a hit with every ball. This is a great spell for larger groups at a distance.
Arctic Blast -- This skill summons the north wind to freeze your enemies. A cold enemy is much less of a threat, so this skill helps you in two ways. For groups, it can also help to shatter monsters that could be revived.
Cyclone Armor -- This skill is entirely defensive. A gust of wind whirls around you, absorbing Fire, Cold, or Electrical damage. This is very useful, and even one or two skill points into this spell make it very worthwhile, unless you want to morph yourself.
Twister -- This elemental skill summons several small whirlwinds. They meander toward their targets and do some damage. This skill is best used at a distance.
Tornado -- This skill summons one larger whirlwind to damage your enemies. It is basically a much more powerful version of Twister.
Hurricane -- The top skill on the wind side of the elemental chart is Hurricane. It does cold damage to all those in a large radius of you. It lasts a long while, and it is great for those druids who want to go in and fight by themselves.
Armageddon -- This skill brings a rain of meteors down on the area around you. You can move, and while the spell is working, the area of damage will move with you. You can use this to protect yourself from minions while letting your forces attack, or cast it on yourself as you prepare to go into battle to heat things up.
