Diablo II Hints

Skills: Traps

  • What would an Assassin be without traps?  Assassins can use traps to cover their retreats, or even as an offensive weapon.

Fire Blast -- This skill can be used as a trap or thrown as a ranged weapon.  An area is put to the torch.

Shock Web --  This trap discharges lightning when triggered.  It works best in tight places.

Charged Bolt Sentry -- Like the Shock web, but it uses Charged Bolts rather than lightning.

Lightning Sentry -- This is another lightning trap, but one with a very heavy charge.

Death Sentry -- This trap uses the Necromancer Corpse Explosion effect, but then goes further to add lightning.

Wake of Fire -- This trap spews fire on enemies that trip it, but the fire is not very damaging.

Wake of Inferno -- This trap spews very damaging fire on the unlucky enemy that trips the trap.

Blade Sentinel -- This skill causes a rotating disk to cut back and forth between you and a chosen point.  This is very good for doorway situations.

Blade Fury -- This skill sends blades into your enemies.  They can bounce off the initial hit, and do more damage.

Blade Shield -- This trap circles you, damaging any enemy that approaches you or that you approach.
