If you are an Amazon, the best thing to do is to notice when you get close to the Summoner. You will be able to tell because a lot of magic attacks will come from off screen. Then, back up until you are safe, and start firing arrows in the direction of the attacks. After a bit, sneak up and see how you are doing, and then back off for more long-range shooting.
