The Dig Hints

Why doesn't the tram come when I call it?

  • 1 of 16: The tram behind the door with the red rod appears to be broken.
  • 2 of 16: You'll need to get the tram working again before the call button will work.
  • 3 of 16: There's a control room inside the Nexus -- go down the dark tunnel and through the airlock to find it.
  • 4 of 16: You can only have one door at a time in the airlock open, of course.  Use the two buttons, one inside the airlock and one outside it, to open and close the doors.
  • 5 of 16: If you look at the controls in the center of the room, you'll notice that one of the crystals is dead.  This is the crystal that controls the dead tram.
  • 6 of 16: Before you can fix the crystal, you'll need to find something to put in those holes next to the five crystals.
  • 7 of 16: You'll find a blue rod in the orange spire.  Look in the location with the crevice for it.
  • 8 of 16: Now put the blue rod in one of the holes and two more rods should appear.
  • 9 of 16: Click on the dead crystal and see if you can notice a difference.
  • 10 of 16: It turns slightly lighter when you touch it.  Maybe that's significant.
  • 11 of 16: Now try sliding the three blue rods.  (You'll need to click on them and then drag up or down to move the rod.)
  • 12 of 16: The brightness of the crystal will change slightly as you do this.
  • 13 of 16: You're trying to light this crystal, remember.
  • 14 of 16: So position each of the rods so the crystal is the brighest.
  • 15 of 16: Once you align all three rods this way, the crystal should turn blue, and you should restore power to the tram.
  • 16 of 16: If, by accident, you kill power to any of the other crystals, you can repeat this procedure on one of them to restore the corresponding tram.
