The Dig Hints
How do I capture the rat creature?
of 21: Why don't you build a trap for it?
of 21: You have most of what you need on this screen.
of 21: In fact, all of the items that you need will work here (so just assume all of the items I mention can be found on the screen, at least if you look closely enough).
of 21: That rib cage will probably hold the rat.
of 21: Now you need to find something to hold the cage.
of 21: That large pole might work.
of 21: You can hang it off the large wheel.
of 21: You just need something to attach the two.
of 21: The wooden dowel should work.
of 21: Put the dowel in the wheel, and then put the pole in the dowel.
of 21: Now you can put the cage on the hook.
of 21: Finally, look for something to hold up the cage so the rat will get trapped underneath it.
of 21: Use the rod on the cage.
of 21: All you need to do is get the rat to go underneath the cage.
of 21: Unfortunately, as Boston says, there's nothing that you can use as bait.
of 21: You're just going to have to herd the rat underneath the cage.
of 21: It takes a bit of patience, but not too much else.
of 21: Just try to chase the rat into running underneath the cage.
of 21: You can get the rat to come out of hiding by reaching into the holes on this screen. He'll pop out and you can run him down.
of 21: I found that it was easiest to chase the rat down from one (and only one) of the holes and then walk around the screen and sneak up behind the rat. If you're having trouble getting the rat to run underneath the cage, you might want to try looking into another hole until the rat appears there.
of 21: Finally, once you've chased the rat underneath the cage, you should pull the rod, and the rat will be trapped.
