The Dig Hints

How do I get underneath the crypt?

  • 1 of 17: First, you have to know that there's something underneath the crypt.  If the only reason you know there's something here is that you've read the hint title, the game won't let you do anything.  Work on other puzzles, and your character should eventually learn what he needs to know.
  • 2 of 17: If you still haven't figured it out, the panel in the "Map Room" on the green (map) spire will tell you about the chamber under the crypt.
  • 3 of 17: Now, the room behind the locked door in the orange spire will be of some use here.
  • 4 of 17: Try to figure out what it does, and you might have more luck.
  • 5 of 17: Now look for a way to get the light of the moons into the tomb.
  • 6 of 17: Stand on the double-C marks on the floor, and a shutter should open.
  • 7 of 17: Look for a way to keep that stone permanently depressed, so you don't have to stay on the stone.
  • 8 of 17: Use the rod from the orange spire in the stone to keep it down.
  • 9 of 17: You're still not quite there yet.
  • 10 of 17: You need to get the light from the two moons into this room.
  • 11 of 17: Look above ground, and you'll see a bit of dirt.
  • 12 of 17: Click on it to move out of the way, and you'll reveal a lens underneath the dirt that will focus the light into the tomb.
  • 13 of 17: A giant statue will out of the ground now.
  • 14 of 17: Touch it to see what it does.
  • 15 of 17: Well, it doesn't do anything, but you still know that there's something underneath this crypt.
  • 16 of 17: Try clicking on the crypt directly.
  • 17 of 17: Do so, and you'll be taken to the space underneath it.
