Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove Hints

How do I get into the trunk of this car?

  • 1 of 10: If you zoom in close, you'll see that it's locked. You need the keys.
  • 2 of 10: Presumably whoever abandoned the car took the keys with them, but maybe there's a spare set of keys inside. Click on the open car door to slip into the front seat.
  • 3 of 10: There are a couple of things to interact with here. The radio has a report about the weather, and then there's that note and the video camera.
  • 4 of 10: There's also the glove compartment. That seems like a logical place for spare keys.
  • 5 of 10: Aaaaand it's locked, rats. Luckily, it's not a key lock, but a combination. Are there any clues here to what that combination might be?

  • 7 of 10: Go back outside and look at the car's license plate. It consists of six letters and numbers ending in --
  • 8 of 10: -- M6. Surely that's not just a coincidence.
  • 9 of 10: Go back inside and change the glove compartment lock to match the license plate. It should read:
  • 10 of 10: JXH2. Click on the button above to open the glove compartment, take the keys, and use them in the trunk to open it.
