Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove Hints

"I gather the dust ... "

  • 1 of 6: The riddle says: "I gather the dust and make arrows fly true / before jotting it down in a letter to you."
  • 2 of 6: I do my dusting with a dustcloth, but a lot of people use something else --
  • 3 of 6: -- a feather duster. Feathers are also used on the back end of arrows to make them fly straight, and they're also used to make quill pens and write letters.
  • 4 of 6: So set the runes to spell out FEATHER, and a stone pops up with a feather-shaped hole in it. We need to put a feather in that hole.
  • 5 of 6: To find a feather, go back to the wolf's den (via Alison's bedroom in the hotel) and take the left path.
  • 6 of 6: This brings you to the frozen lake shore. Use your ice pick on the ice to find a lovely gray feather.
