Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove Hints
Nothing seems to be happening.
1 of 4: That happens occasionally in this game. You follow a path as far as you can, and the hidden object scene at the end yields ... nothing you need in any way. Fooey!
2 of 4: When that happens, it means the object you just picked up will be needed somewhere you haven't been yet, and the things you know you need are elsewhere to be found. Try going back to a hidden object scene that you've already completed. Many of them refresh and have to be done twice, yielding a different inventory item the second time.
3 of 4: You can also check your inventory to see what items you haven't used yet. Inventory items disappear once they've been used (except for the snow shoes), so if it's there you still have something you need to do with it.
4 of 4: And don't forget to read the detective's journal (via the button labeled "Case File" in the lower left corner of the screen) whenever it gets updated. This will give you hints about puzzles and keep you steered in the right direction.
