Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove Hints
How do I get that piece of paper in the tree by the garage?
of 8: There are a couple of boards nailed to the trunk, so someone must have been in the habit of climbing the tree.
of 8: But either your detective is really short or the tree has grown since then, because the boards are too far off the ground for you to use them. You need to add another board before you can climb the tree.
of 8: For that you'll need three inventory items from various hidden object scenes: a small board, some nails, and a hammer.
of 8: You'll find them in the first boathouse scene, the second front desk scene, and the first fireplace scene, respectively.
of 8: Once you have all three items, use them on the tree to make another step. Specifically --
of 8: -- use the small board on the tree, then use the nails on the board, and finally use the hammer on the nails. You can now climb up into the tree.
of 8: Just in time to discover that you STILL can't reach that piece of paper. You can't make your arms longer, but maybe you can make the branch shorter.
of 8: Go do the second hidden object scene in the honeymoon suite to get a saw, then climb the tree and use it on the branch. You can now go back down to ground level and get that piece of paper.
