Discworld II Hints
Where do I get three sticks?
of 17: Have you seen anyone using sticks in the game?
of 17: There are three of them -- all identical.
of 17: How about the croquet mallets in the garden?
of 17: You need to find suitable replacements for each of them.
of 17: That is, long objects with some kind of head.
of 17: All of the replacements are animals.
of 17: You can take a flamingo from the wandering shop. That's one.
of 17: And there's a hammerhead shark in a net on the docks.
of 17: That's two if you can get it free.
of 17: All you need to do is cut the net.
of 17: There's a knife in the mortuary that will do the job.
of 17: The third "mallet" is another bird.
of 17: It's the one on the docks, on top of the novelty store.
of 17: All you need is some bait.
of 17: Like a fish.
of 17: Use the stuffed fish from the wandering shop on the bird, and you have your third mallet.
of 17: Then just use all three replacements on the three mallets in the garden. In particular, the flamingo goes to the dean, the hammerhead to the bursar, and the bird to the librarian. Now you have your three sticks.
