Where can I get a moustache?
1 of 17: As a first hint here, the troll is a red herring. Don't bother to try to take his moustache or follow his lead or anything like that. And as a bit of a warning, some parts of this solution require some pretty big leaps of faith (and leaps in the subtlety of the hints).
2 of 17: The donkey is actually the answer to this puzzle.
3 of 17: Or more correctly, its tail.
4 of 17: You'll want to cut it off.
5 of 17: But you can't cut it off where the donkey is now.
6 of 17: Surely you remember all of the "Did anyone get the number of that donkey cart?" questions.
7 of 17: Well, what you want to be able to do is give the number of that donkey cart, so they'll take the donkey away.
8 of 17: One of the times when someone asked that was when the assassin fell from the rooftops.
9 of 17: Because there was no ladder for him to land on.
10 of 17: Well, take his ladder then.
11 of 17: Too bad that it's tied down.
12 of 17: But you can cut it free.
13 of 17: Just use the knife from the thief's hovel in the Shades on the ladder and your luggage can take it.
14 of 17: Then when the assassin-in-training comes through again, he should fall down and ask for the number of the donkey cart.
