How do I get the fishmonger's gold?

  • 1 of 19: His gold is the belt that he's wearing.
  • 2 of 19: You'll need to get the fishmonger to take off his belt.
  • 3 of 19: Perhaps by making him run to the outhouse in the alley.
  • 4 of 19: Try slipping something into the caviar that he keeps nibbling on.
  • 5 of 19: Something that will send him running.
  • 6 of 19: Like the prunes that the apprentice at Unseen University is eating.
  • 7 of 19: Use the prunes in the caviar and then go to the alley to try to take the belt.
  • 8 of 19: The only problem is that the fishmonger won't let you take his belt.  You're going to have to do something to stop him from stopping you.
  • 9 of 19: You'll need to leave something in the toilet that will hold him down.
  • 10 of 19: Something with a lot of suction.
  • 11 of 19: Like the octopus that's out in the fishmonger's stand.  Put it in the toilet.
  • 12 of 19: You'll also need to find something that will attract the octopus to the fishmonger.
  • 13 of 19: Like a love potion.
  • 14 of 19: Or Nanny Ogg's love custard.  She's out in the dark woods, outside the city.
  • 15 of 19: You'll also need a container for the custard.  There's a store that specializes in containers.
  • 16 of 19: The pottery shop on the street corner will work.  But you'll need to go back into L-space to visit it when it's open.
  • 17 of 19: Use the pot from the shop on Nanny Ogg's cauldron to get some custard.
  • 18 of 19: Then throw the custard in the toilet with the octopus.
  • 19 of 19: The next time the fishmonger goes to the toilet (use the prunes on the caviar again), he won't be able to stop you when you try to take his belt.
