DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil Hints
Double-barrel Shotgun
Damage: up to 320 (16 per pellet times 20 pellets)
Clip/Max Ammo: 2 / 322 (shared with regular shotgun)
First Found: Erebus Level 3
This is the same terrific up-close super-damage weapon that you probably remember if you've played DOOM 2 or Final DOOM. It can only hold two shells at once and has a slow reload time, but can't be beat for point-blank splatter damage, especially with head shots. Double-barrel 'em!
NOTE: As before, the double-barrel shotgun shares a weapon slot with the regular shotgun, so use the 3 key to toggle between them.
NOTE: That new max ammo value listed above really is correct. You can have up to 320 shells in reserve now, instead of the old value of 312. All the ammo-using guns have done this -- their old total max ammo values have become their new max reserve values. Another example is the plasma gun, which used to hold a max of 50 + 450 = 500 plasma charges, but can now hold up to 50 + 500 = 550 plasma charges. Weird, but cool! On a less cool note, you can no longer pick up ammo packs if your ammo reserve is full and your clip isn't.
