DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil Hints
How can I use the sentry robots that M. Ryden tells me about?
1 of 7: The one he's working on is no good for now, so continue on to see if you can find one that's still functioning.
2 of 7: You'll meet one as soon as you get through the locked door in Main Sewer Access.
3 of 7: These little mobile machine guns are very handy to have with you, since they'll lead the way, and you can hang back and let them do most or all of the fighting.
4 of 7: They can be "killed," however, so you might want to save your game before following one, and then restore and use a more aggressive strategy if just hanging back and letting it do all the fighting doesn't work out.
5 of 7: TIP: Watch your back while doing this, since monsters can teleport in or drop down behind you. The robot won't be of much help with that if it's busily rat-tat-tatting something ahead of you.
6 of 7: TIP: The robot leads you straight along the path he's programmed to lead you along. You'll have to watch for side passages that contain armor and ammo, since he won't lead you to them.
7 of 7: TIP: When you get to the large open room in Main Sewer Tunnel B where lots of vulgars teleport in followed by several revenants, you might want to use the Bloodstone to help you rush around and blow things away with the double-barrel shotgun or chaingun. Or you could just run on through and into the next area, skipping the whole mess!
