Chainsaw

    As in previous DOOM games, the chainsaw is the most powerful non-ranged weapon in the game, capable of cutting even fairly powerful creatures into lunch slices in mere seconds. The usual disadvantage of creatures often getting in blows before they die is also firmly present.

    There are two good times to use the chainsaw. One is when you're being approached by a creature who has no ranged attacks, like zombies. Just have the saw out and attack constantly as the zombie walks into it. The other good use for the chainsaw is when you know exactly where a monster is going to teleport in, and you can run up to that spot before it fully materializes. Do so and chainsaw it to pieces fast!
