How do I fight this vile creature that appears up high in the Common Area?

  • 1 of 4: That's an archvile, actually. He's reeeeally evil!
  • 2 of 4: He'll start summoning imps the moment he appears. You should retreat back to the corridor you arrived on and shoot imps as they come after you.
  • 3 of 4: There's really no point in trying to kill the archvile now. If you do, others will appear later, anyway.
  • 4 of 4: After you kill all the imps he summons and he runs off, go down a side corridor in the Common Area and take a lift up to get to where he was. When you do, another archvile will run into the Common Area from the hall you entered it from earlier. Kill this one as quickly as you can (or just run for the exit).
