DOOM 3 Hints

Zombie (Generic)

  • Health: 50-100
    Attack Damage: 15 from swipe or 20 from flashlight
    First Seen: Mars City Underground

    The generic zombies come in several different shapes and forms, but they're all weak, slow, and without any type of ranged attack. Taking them down at medium range with head shots from the pistol is usually the preferred method of disposing of them, though you may want to have the shotgun ready when you're exploring zombie-infested areas just in case one suddenly appears right in front of you. (Also, if you have the chainsaw, you can just hold it out in attack mode and let zombies walk right into it.)

    Zombies aren't totally stupid, though. Sometimes one will try to sneak up behind you while you're busy attacking another. Also, they like to "play dead" in order to get you to ignore them as ordinary corpses until you get close to them.
