DOOM 3 Hints

The bridge is out in B2 Material Transfer Lift. How can I cross the chasm?

  • 1 of 8: Look around at what you've got on this side of the chasm. See any equipment you recognize?
  • 2 of 8: There's a crane in here that looks just like the one way back in the Underground Junction of the Mars City Underground level.
  • 3 of 8: There's a panel next to the ladder that says "Recall Crane to Operator Load Position," but it's already in that position, so just climb the ladder.
  • 4 of 8: Try the control panel in the crane's operator booth.
  • 5 of 8: You'll find that the winch controls (right side of panel) don't do anything, but the rotation controls (center of panel) can be used to rotate the crane around. Also, the left side of the panel has controls for moving the payload along the crane's length.
  • 6 of 8: What you need to do is rotate the crane to the right as far as it'll go and then push the payload out to the very end of the crane.
  • 7 of 8: Then find the rungs past the operator control booth that you can climb in order to get onto the top of the crane.
  • 8 of 8: Crawl along it until you can drop down onto the big stick-out boards on the right side of the payload, then drop from them onto the stack of three huge pipes, and from there to the walkway. Made it!
