DOOM 3 Hints
Should I let J. Edwards lead me through the Coolant Control Junction?
1 of 6: You don't have to. Edwards isn't needed to unlock any special access doors or anything.
2 of 6: However, the corridors you'll be moving through are very dark, and it would be convenient to have someone carrying a lantern along with you so that you could keep a weapon readied at all times.
3 of 6: You might as well follow Edwards until he reaches the end (or gets killed along the way).
4 of 6: When you get to the ladder at the end of the journey, Edwards will be killed by an imp no matter what you do.
5 of 6: After killing the imps, you can either go right up the ladder and on into Coolant Flow Control, or you can first go back and pick up the goodies you missed by sticking with Edwards.
6 of 6: ALTERNATIVE: You could have gone into the side rooms after the extras while Edwards was with you. He'd complain about not being able to stop or wait, but he'd have followed you anyway.
