Day of the Tentacle Hints
Why won't Edna let me get close to her monitors?
of 11: Because she doesn't want you to. You'll have to get rid of her, and then you won't have to worry about her.
of 11: She's on a rolling chair.
of 11: Just push her chair and she'll leave. The only problem is the statue.
of 11: You can't get rid of it, but you can move the statue -- sort of. Remember the brothers who made that sculpture?
of 11: The only difference between them is that one is left-handed and the other is right-handed.
of 11: Note that the statue is holding a sword. That's what you need to move.
of 11: It would help if the sword were on the other side.
of 11: Which means you need to get the brothers in the 1700's to switch places.
of 11: So go back to Hoagie's time -- notice that there are both left- and right- handed hammers that you can pick up.
of 11: If you want the brothers to change places, all you need to do is change their tools.
of 11: Pick up the right-handed hammer and give the sculptor back a left-handed one. The statue will be transformed and you can push Edna out of the way.
