Dracula: Origin Hints

How can I solve the puzzle of the first angel?

  • 1 of 13: The first angel can be found one screen back from the entrance to the watchman's mausoleum.
  • 2 of 13: Read the text at the bottom of the puzzle for a big clue on what you are supposed to be doing here.
  • 3 of 13: "When the saint sacrifices himself to redeem our sins, the demons drink his blood and the pure cry on him."
  • 4 of 13: Notice that around the saint lying in the center there are twelve figures. Some are clearly demons, and some are clearly pure.
  • 5 of 13: You will also notice that there is a small clickable button before each figure, and it can either contain a picture of a goblet, or a teardrop, depending on how many times you click.
  • 6 of 13: Remember that the demons are drinking his blood, and the pure are crying on him.
  • 7 of 13: Arrange the puzzle so that each of the demonic figures around the saint have the goblet icon, as they are drinking his blood.
  • 8 of 13: Then, arrange it so that each of the pure folk are crying -- set them to the teardrop icon.
  • 9 of 13: The demons are quite easy to spot. They have the usual tell-tale signs -- hooves, horns, a demonic tongue, a pointy nose, fangs, etc. As a rule, if they look shifty, tag 'em with the goblet :)
  • 10 of 13: From bottom left around clockwise to bottom right, the order is as follows:
  • 11 of 13: GOBLET, TEARDROP, GOBLET, TEARDROP, GOBLET, TEARDROP, GOBLET, TEARDROP, GOBLET, TEARDROP, GOBLET, GOBLET.
  • 12 of 13: After arranging the puzzle in this fashion, press the button at the upper-left of the screen.
  • 13 of 13: Van Helsing will say "There, perfect!" and you will have completed the puzzle.
