Dracula: Origin Hints
How can I solve the puzzle of the second angel?
of 15: The second angel can be found up the stairs on the right of the mausoleum entrance, then one screen down.
of 15: First of all, read the text at the center of the puzzle to get an idea of what to do.
of 15: You need to determine the weight of the punishment of the sinners, and create that weight on the scales at the right using the denominations of weight available.
of 15: This puzzle requires some basic math.
of 15: The three wrathful sinners each received 100 years. So, that's 3 * 100 = 300 years.
of 15: The conceited sinner received three times as much. So add another 3 * 100. That's 600 in total now.
of 15: Next, the envious sinner and the gluttonous sinner both received half of the current total. The current total is 600, so each received 300.
of 15: So the current total stands at 300 + 300 + 300 + 300, which equals 1200.
of 15: Next, the miser received twice that of the wrathful sinners combined (600), plus 25 extra years of pain.
of 15: So, add all of those values together. 1200 + 600 + 25 = a grand total of 1825 years of punishment.
of 15: Now, dish out that value on the scales.
of 15: You have weights in 5, 10, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 years.
of 15: So use 1000, 500, 200 and 100 to make the 1800. Now just make 25 from tens and fives.
of 15: Add one of each value to the scale, except tens, where you should add two.
of 15: After doing this, click the scale itself and the puzzle will complete.
